Three applications are to be attacked with the research aim of determining how well the usage of security patterns in java applications increases several security aspects of these applications. The security contest page with instructions can be found at http://java.uom.gr/~halkidis It is important to note, that we are interested only in software security issues and thus interested only in software related attacks. Directions about how to send the reports of the attacks and what should be included can be found at the security contest page. The deadline for the reports (end of the contest) is February 20, 2006, 00:00, Thessaloniki time (GMT +02:00) The e-mail where the reports are to be sent is : sthalkidis@yahoo.com Thanks in advance, Spyros Halkidis Ph.D. Student University of Macedonia Thessaloniki Greece ------------------------------------------------------------------------- This List Sponsored by: Watchfire Watchfire's AppScan is the industry's first and leading web application security testing suite, and the only solution to provide comprehensive remediation tasks at every level of the application.
