MSDN Webcast: Know Your Options for Data Validation (Level 300)

Subject: MSDN Webcast: Know Your Options for Data Validation (Level 300)
Date: Thu, 21 Apr 2005 03:32:14 -0500
Here is an upcoming webcast for data validation.

Description:
Data streams are the most popular vector to carry an attacker's payload. A scan of any vulnerability database will reveal that most application security faults stem from the lack of effective data validation. Whether you are concerned with the age-old buffer overflow or newer and highly prevalent Web issues like SQL injection and cross-site scripting, you can mitigate all of these by the use of a smart validation strategy at key places in your architecture. This session considers the performance implications, advantages and disadvantages of several possible approaches, and demonstrates Validator.NET from Foundstone as a simple and efficient solution.

Presenters:
Rudolph Araujo, Senior Software Security Consultant, Foundstone, Inc.
