Presumably, in Thompson's world, the makers of Linux, *BSD, OSX, MVS, Solaris, (etc. etc. etc.), are even bigger poopyheads, since their operating systems never really required or benefited from his security products in the first place. Seeing as how the world owes him a living and all....
