All;

In our efforts to identify additional methods of contributing to the
Snort community, we have developed the following online tool and made
it freely available.

myRules
<http://www.aanval.com/myRules/>

myRules is an online Snort Rules Package Manager that provides users
with a simple to use AJAX / Web 2.0 interface for creating custom
snort rule sets.

It has been designed for users to browse, create and directly download
Snort rules using a custom and unique myRules ID, which is
automatically generated. * You can have as many myRules ID's as you
like, there is no limit. Use unique myRules ID's for different
sensors, or for testing purposes, how you choose to use the tool is
entirely up to you.

We will be providing a short quicktime demonstration movie on how to
use myRules, as well as how to configure Snort for it's recommended
use as well.

Usage:
1) Visit the site @ www.aanval.com/myRules/
2) Add rule categories (add / del buttons)
3) Edit your selections (clicking the image icon)
4) Save & Download your new rule set
5) Edit your snort.conf to use the new file provided

Feedback:
This is the initial release, and although we have plans for an
additional extensive set of features, we welcome your feedback through
the form available on the myRules page.

Automatically Updated:
myRules will be automatically updated and have the latest available
public Snort rules online at all times.

Thank you,
We welcome your feedback.
