Seriously,

When I ran into this, I had neither ipv6 enabled in my config, nor was I
running ipv6 in my stack.  I'll play with it more over the weekend and
see.  As all things are equal until proven not to be - you're probably
right.

I had this issue on OpenBSD 4.1 when trying the CVS checkout of 2.8,
same error.

You have to not use flexresp2. For some reason this doesn't seem to
want to compile. If you enable flexresp make sure you don't enable
react as it's implied.

I ran into this on os x 10.4
