I have no idea :(. All I know is that passive sniffing and being connected at the same time just do not work. Packet capturing with tcpdump while connected works fine, so I think it's a monitor mode issue. My MacBook triple boots into linux, and I have the same issue across the board booting into linux and running kismet or airdump-ng. Bet there's someone out there smarter then me that can have better answers then just experiences. James
