I would like to know how snort performs in respect to the number of the
rule sets and the number of the rules within each set. I'm looking for
performance data for reference or comparison w/ or w/o an accelerator
card.

Again, if anyone has this data handy either produced on your own or
gathered from third-party source(s), would be great.
