Detection and Correlation Console
New beta release of Aanval which includes some minor bug fixes and
feature enhancements, but most importantly a completely new install /
upgrade interface and support for the upcoming release of snort 2.6.
We are looking for comments and user input to make the installer work
as smoothly as possible across as many platforms as possible.

"beta" release in the subject line.
Please send all failures, warnings, problems or comments including
software and operating system versions to general.support@aanval.com
and include "beta" in the subject line.
The beta release is available at the following URL and can be
installed using the instructions below (same as a manual Aanval
upgrade / install).

* Syslog file extensions are now stored as .sys instead of the

Manual Installation / Upgrade Instructions
Download the latest beta version of Aanval using the link above and
place the aanval-latest-beta.tar.gz file in your root aanval
directory. Untar this file using the command: tar -zxvf aanval-latest-
stable.tar.gz
When this has completed, using a web-browser visit your console and a
quick upgrade process will take place. At the completion of this
upgrade process, you will be able to begin using the new version.

Although this beta release is very stable, it is still a beta and is
released with relative warnings.
