You have to grant access to the snort user in the database. If you go to
the snort site under the documentation section you would see a couple of
tutorials on how to setup snort and acid, any of them explain how to grant
the right access to snort in the db.

Hello,

i am new to Snort and I installed it on a Fedora Core 3 together with
MySql, ACID and Apache(following the instructions of
http://www.snort.org/docs/snort-acid_solaris9.pdf).
The installation worked find but I have a problem creating the ACID AG.
The following error message appears:

Unable to CREATE table 'acid_ag': Database ERROR:Access denied for user:
'snort@localhost' to database 'snort'
Unable to CREATE table 'acid_ag_alert': Database ERROR:Access denied for
user: 'snort@localhost' to database 'snort'
Unable to CREATE table 'acid_ip_cache': Database ERROR:Access denied for
user: 'snort@localhost' to database 'snort'
Unable to CREATE table 'acid_event': Database ERROR:Access denied for
user: 'snort@localhost' to database 'snort'
I already checked the acid_conf.php for the connection to the MySQL
database but everything is right(how far i can see).
Do you know a solutuion to this problem

Thanks,

Kind Regards
