[Snort-sigs] icode syntax (snort 2.7.0)

Subject: [Snort-sigs] icode syntax (snort 2.7.0)
Date: Fri, 20 Jul 2007 00:14:47 -0400
Hello,

I seem to be a having an issue with the syntax for specifying the ICMP Code
using Snort 2.7.0.

The example is:

icode: >5<8;

However, Snort fails to start:
"Invalid ICMP icode in rule: >5<8"

I've tried various ways of spacing or ordering these, all with the same
error message, "Invalid ICMP icode in rule: [...]"

Has the syntax for icode changed?

I've also checked the manual and section 3.6.15 seems to have a few errors:
   Description should be changed to "icode", not "itype" from previous
section.
   Example has "code" instead of "icode"
      and icode>3; instead of 30?

Thanks,
Lee
