Has anyone worked out the performance impact of this patch? I love the
idea - but wonder about how much extra overhead it adds?
To be honest I'm not really sure about the amount of overhead added by
enabling this preproc. Victor and I both just use our home PCs to
development on and don't have the facilities available for load
testing or anything of that nature. I'm sure there is additional
overhead especially when using the file-descriptor scanning.
