*** Vendor response **** If you are looking for a low cost message based system (allows text alterations) that requires user acknowledgment (they need to click OK to put the message box away) we offer one at our site at http://www.pcprofile.com/swmessage.htm that has been in use since 1995 and has proven effective at many sites. It drives home the key message (bringing a culture shift) and can be set via any standard scheduler and is not big on bandwidth. License fee is onetime fee per organization with no annual maintenance. Run different awareness topics each month using a combination of static and dynamic media, and try to alter the materials once in a while to keep things interesting. Deliver the information via audio/video presentations, screen savers, posters, calendars, etc. Ideally, your awareness program should reinforce the importance of complying with your policies. People tend to ignore rules when they don't fully understand the consequences. Therefore, you should incorporate any organizational policies related to the monthly topic. Awareness testing is a good way to accomplish this while verifying the effectiveness of your program. "Culture shift" takes time and requires constant effort, so 15-30 minutes per month will work much better than an entire day or two annually. Hope that helps. - Rich "Buowari, Dagogo (IMT/521)" <Dagogo.Buowari@nlng.com> 05/18/2006 04:17 AM To "Paris E. Grateful if you could oblige my request.
