Strategy and Architectural Design Patterns for IDS/IPS

Subject: Strategy and Architectural Design Patterns for IDS/IPS

Hi

I am in the process of building a strategy and some architectural
patterns for IDS/IPS in an enterprise environment. Is anyone aware of
examples/templates of either of these available on the web? I have
Google'd but most of the material is vendor-released.

Thanks in advance
