Hello all, Thus anyone has done competitive analysis for Security
Information Management and Event Management vendors.

I did some about a year and a half ago at a former employer via an RFP
process. The difference in the quality of the vendor responses was
staggering -- not necessarily in the technical quality but in the
completeness of their response and their understanding of the needs
and environment of large enterprises.

I don't think it'd be appropriate to discuss which vendors I looked at
and which was selected, but the process was fairly open. What aspects
of the analysis are you thinking about?
