Your continuity plan should provide for remote access via a thin client
platform or VPN solution. Many people might stay home, assuming they
are well enough to tele-commute, that is if their positions do not
require hands on equipment, patients, etc

My personal opinion, not my employers.

enough people to make it worth the effort.

In theory, your BCP should already cover that (considering it would be
similar to a biological weapon attack), but I'd suggest looking into CDC
recommendations to see if there's anything specific you can include.
Mandatory vaccinations? Gas masks? A month's supply of Echinacea?

BCP for Avian Flu Pandemic

A little off the main topic, but still relevant to information security
management from a BCP perspective.

I am looking for points of contact to touch base with on emergency
management planning for the potential avian flu pandemic (or any large
infectious disease outbreak). We have come across a requirement in New
York to demonstrate the presence of a contingency plan...

Anyone else addressing this same issue?

Thanks,
