Connie,
I also looked into this possibility and found a site in UK where someone
explains how it could be useless (
http://www.goldmark.org/jeff/stupid-disclaimers/).
Again I am not a lawyer (much less an international lawyer) but that person
says that in Germany, this would be considered as email tampering and would
be "illegal" (I guess if the disclaimer is automatically added in the
sending process).
I am also curious if this has any weigth or not. I'm thinking it doesn't
but not including a disclaimer might not show due care on the other side.
Better play on the safer side.

anyone know of a case where this actually helped someone in a legal sense? I
would think that it actually weakens any *real* policy an institution has to
protect its data.

 Hello all,

We have an application that is hosted on a 3rd party provider and we
would like to inform our users that the emails they receive are not from our
servers but from the 3rd party provider. This is required for legal reasons.

I couldn't find any good ressources online and I was wondering if anyone
had a similar experience and if they had examples to share. Most disclaimers
deal with the fact that a sender is emailing a customer and that this email
is confidential, etc.

I was also wondering if it would be a good idea to include this fact in
the customer's contract?

 Any comments? Thanks in advance.

Neksus
