Position: Sr. Security Analyst
Location: New York, New York, United States
Type: Permanent F/T
Closing Date: 2008-05-16
Data Security Analyst for Major New York Financial firm.
Responsibilities:
* Consult and provide professional support for major components of the
company’s information security infrastructure
* Responsible for supporting the technical analysis, design, consulting and
product review of security components
* Must have significant experience with multiple security technologies and
packages, including a lead role in identifying new tools and techniques
* Evaluate and assess existing technical issues by researching and identifying
innovative solutions to broad and complex information security challenges
* Responsible for managing components of various projects to completion,
consulting with various corporate teams, both within IT and business
environments, to derive information security solutions
JOB REQUIREMENTS
---------------------------------------------------
* 6+ years experience in information security or related technology experience
required
* Experience with software, programming languages, practices and technologies
for securing the company’s information security infrastructure
* Basic knowledge of the security systems and processes
* Practical knowledge in the areas of network and perimeter defense,
authentication and authorization, risk assessment and/or security support
services required
* Must be able to provide appropriate and sound advice to internal and external
customers
* Must be accountable and able to effectively handle projects in a context of
organizational change
For your role in working closely with business users and facilitation of
communication of requirements, you should demonstrate:
* Strong written and verbal communication skills
* Effective professional relationship building skills
* Consensus building and facilitation skills
Education/Licenses/Certifications:
* Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related discipline is required
* Security Certification Required (CISSP – Certified Information Security
Systems Prof) or CISA (Certified Information Systems Auditor
