The Role
To ensure delivery for the Head of Information Security Management by:
Ensuring that strategic and operational risks are identified and objectively
assessed by the business.
Providing strategic risk management and control design advice to Project
Executives and senior Management.
To ensure that the requirements of the business are met through the consistent
application of security design principles.
To provide security input to the development of business strategy.
To provide intelligence and manage mitigation of information security risks in
support of business objectives.
To provide advice and share best business practice in support business
objectives.
To provide Internal and External Security Consultancy.
To deputise for the Consultancy Team Leader.
To effectively and positively contribute to the business improvement process.
To assist the business in the identification of key business risks.
Key capabilities
Knowledge:
This role requires an in depth knowledge of PKI cryptography, including:
Architecture
Hardware
Software
Legalities
Broad commercial and strategic business knowledge
Certificate Policies and Practice
Knowledge of legal and liability issues
Knowledge of
Operating Systems (AIX W2K)
Networking
Firewalls
Encryption
Oracle
IDS
27001, PCIS, 9000
Familiarity with risk and assurance methodology
Understanding of network/web security issues
Knowledge of payment systems including:
CHAPS
BACS
SWIFT
Experience of developing policies
Knowledge of developments in security technology and their application.
Experience of risk identification and defining practical solutions for
management.
Experience of developing robust procedures.
