Summary The RSA –DLP Systems Engineer is responsible for technical pre-sales support for RSA’s Data Security Group’s Data Leakage Prevention (DLP) family of software products. The System Engineer will work with sales teams across North America in a pre-sales role to develop and position the DLP solutions. Presentations and conference call discussions are a critical part of this position. During the qualifying process, confirm that RSA's products meet the prospect's requirements and assist sales in technical qualification. Throughout the proposal process, articulate and demonstrate RSA' solutions, influence customer's technical requirements, and position products relative to competition. Responsible for all of the technical aspects of the proposal development. Work closely with product marketing /product management teams to assist in the development and implementation of pre-sales strategies, tools, and presentations. Work with engineering to facilitate early field rele ases, betas, and function as a product champion within the DSG Sales Engineering organization. Provide hands-on training to new employees, partners and customers. This position will require travel throughout the United States. JOB REQUIREMENTS --------------------------------------------------- Skills / Qualifications: •Requires 7+ years of experience in a sales/systems engineering role with networking/security product demonstration expertise. •Requires the demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with sales team, R&D, partners, and end user customers at all levels. Ability to influence a technical audience at the highest level is a must. •Requires excellent sales and presentation skills and the ability to present complex ideas and concepts clearly to sales and technical personnel. Capable of responding to complex RFP's •Exceptional initiative and creativity in the development of solutions for partners and customers is also required. •Strong understanding of DNS and NFS, SMTP, HTTP, TCP/IP and FTP, ICMP •Expertise and Experience with the following technologies: Routing, switching, VPNs, LANs, WANs, Network Security •Experience with existing DLP solutions in the market a plus. •Ability to travel extensively to support the business is also required.
