ITEC – IT Security Lab Management - Senior
Description
Ernst & Young's Information Technology Enablement Center (ITEC) supports our
national Information Technology (IT) advisory practices by providing resources
in specific applications and technologies to support the sales, delivery and
management of large, complex initiatives for our clients. The IT Security
organization within ITEC supports our area offices.
IT Security is currently seeking a Senior in their Lab Management Group.
Responsibilities
Managing and administering internal computer laboratory facilities including
performing system and network administration.
Position requires 50%.travel.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
---------------------------------------------------
To qualify, candidates must have:
a bachelor's degree and approximately 2 years of related work experience; or a
graduate degree and approximately 1-2 years of related work experience
experience defining technical and business requirements for laboratory
facilities
experience developing policies and procedures to ensure efficient lab
operations and quality service
MS Windows enterprise administration including Active Directory and Group
Policy experience
UNIX administration for Linux, Sun, IBM, and/or HP
Cisco network administration experience
DNS administration and configuration experience
experience performing hardware upgrades for Intel and/or Sparc computing systems
knowledge of TCP/IP network technologies, troubleshooting, and network design
knowledge of switched LAN technologies and router administration and
configuration
experience installing application software for Sun Solaris and Windows client
and server operating systems
experience configuring enterprise email services (Exchange or Sendmail)
including auxiliary services such as anti virus and anti spam administration
Experience desired in one or more of the following areas:
VMWare ESX/GSX server administration experience
knowledge of Cisco, StoneGate, or Check Point firewalls
knowledge of Snort or other IDS product suite
experience performing desktop administration
Citrix or MS Terminal Services administration experience
remote access (VPN) set up, configuration, and administration experience
knowledge of asset, patch, and configuration management procedures and tools
Additional Knowledge and Skills Desired:
experience with at least one of the following development
environments/languages: J2EE, Java, JavaScript, .NET or C#
working knowledge of MS IIS, Apache and Tomcat, WebLogic, or JBoss application
servers
working knowledge of one or more directories such as Active Directory, IBM
Directory Server, SunONE directory Server or Novell e-Directory
working knowledge of relational database management systems such as Oracle,
Sybase, and MS SQL Server
working knowledge of Symantec Ghost or other Data Center Provisioning technology
working knowledge of multi media facility design and administration (state of
the art projector, sound system, and multi input demonstration facility)
working knowledge of complex KVM administration
ability to contribute to the development of shared technical content concerning
the lab environment
