The Role
The Security Auditor is a member of the Computer Network Defence Team and is
responsible to the System Security Manager for day to day and long term system
security auditing in accordance with the Operational Security Management Plan.
The responsibility extends to all system privileged users, other users and core
assets.
Skills, knowledge and experience
Essential
The Security Auditor must be a UK national and hold DV security clearance.
Understanding of TCP/IP networks and associated security.
Experience of working with Microsoft SQL Server including the production of
reports and creation of complex queries using Transact-SQL.
Experience working with the security of Microsoft Windows 2000 Advanced server
and Windows XP professional.
The ability to analyse problems and deal with them in a rational manner.
The ability to work with and influence people of board level. This includes
attending meetings and having the ability to communicate issues in a logical
and intelligent fashion.
Desirable
Previous experience as a System Administrator
Previous experience as a DBA
Experience working with Microsoft Access 2000
