Position: Software Engineer
Location: St. Paul, Minnesota, United States

We are looking for a Unix Systems Administrator to provide support for our IT
Web Services group.
As a member of the IT Web Services team, you will be responsible for
operational support of customer facing web delivered services and systems. The
systems involved support Secure Computing’s corporate web site, Trusted
Source reputation service, SmartFilter web filtering services, product
activation and downloads, as well as many other services that are critical to
our organization. The operational support includes maintenance, and monitoring
of both our internal and customer facing network infrastructure. This position
is for third shift (10:00 pm to 6:00 am)
Responsibilities
Provide 3rd shift coverage on the IT Web Services Operational support desk.
Maintain and monitor the tape backup processes running within our Atlanta and
Alpharetta locations.
Package, Test, and deploy periodic updates to Antivirus packages for our
IronMail customers.
Work with other members of the IT-Web services team to resolve issues
Work with our various monitoring and alerting services (Nagios, Cacti, etc) to
ensure our visibility of the health of our operational environment.
JOB REQUIREMENTS

Required Skills and Experience
2-4 years supporting Unix systems
Basic understanding of Unix / Linux (freebsd 4.x, 6.x, Redhat Enterprise
Edition 4, etc) systems.
Experience with tape backup systems in Unix / Linux (Bacula a plus)
Experience with Shell scripting in bash.
Experience with systems administration tools in Unix / Linux (top, netstat, etc)
Preferred Skills and Experience
Experience with basic network troubleshooting a plus.
