Position: Security Engineer
Location: Anaheim, California, United States
Type: Permanent F/T

Information Security (INFOSEC) System Engineer will work as part of the Family
of Advanced Beyond Line-Of-Sight Terminal (FAB-T) programs in the development
of secure satellite terminals for tactical/strategic communication systems used
by the military services and the DoD. This position provides technical support
as part of the program's overall system engineering effort to include security
architecture analysis, security requirements definition and allocation,
analysis and definition of security requirements for information protection,
identification of system security vulnerabilities, and implementation of risk
management, information assurance, COMSEC and TRANSEC. Knowledge of the NSA
cryptographic certification process to include NSA cryptographic and
Information Assurance design requirements is required; knowledge of the DOD
Information Assurance Certification & Accreditation Process (DIACAP) is desired.
JOB REQUIREMENTS

Knowledge and experience in Cryptographic module development and certification.
Familiarity with DOD key management techniques including Electronic Key
Management System (EKMS) and secure networking. Familiarity with current
versions of programmable cryptographic engines in the market today, knowledge
of the NSA cryptographic certification process, firewalls/routers, security
software design and development, and multilevel secure operating systems a
plus. Position requires a self-motivated individual with excellent verbal and
written communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a
fast-paced environment. Position requires a minimum 3 years in INFOSEC
development.
Education Requirements:
Level 3 - Typically 5 to 8 years' experience in an engineering classification
or either a Master's degree with 3 to 6 years' experience or a PhD degree with
0 to 3 years' experience in an engineering classification. Bachelor, Master or
Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering,
computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry. ABET is the preferred,
although not required, accreditation standard. Level 4 - Typically 9 to 13
years' experience in an engineering classification or either a Master's degree
with 7 to 11 years' experience or a PhD degree with 4 to 8 years' experience in
an engineering classification. Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree
from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science,
mathematics, physics or chemistry
Level 5 - Typically 14 to 19 years' experience in an engineering classification
or either a Master's degree with 12 to 17 years' experience or a PhD degree
with 9 to 14 years' experience in an engineering classification. Bachelor,
Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in
engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry. ABET is the
preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
