Position: Sr. Security Analyst
Location: Hartford, Connecticut, United States
Type: Permanent P/T
Closing Date: 2008-05-04
•To develop an in-depth understanding of LFG Enterprise networks and
strategies.
•Proactively design, implement and maintain perimeter security policies
and standards across the Enterprise.
•Provide support for the evaluation and installation of perimeter security
devices such as firewalls, IDS and/or IPS as well as Enterprise Anti-Virus
platforms.
•Collaborate with team members and other groups in IT & Shared Services to
securely design, manage and troubleshoot networks and systems.
•Identify potential risks, threats and abuses across the enterprise in
network, server and desktop environments
•Respond to incidents, and implement mitigation
•Evaluate & research emerging and evolving networking and security
technologies.
•Provide on call incident response
•Interface with and coordinate the governance of MSSP and/or outsourcing
partners
•All other duties as assigned.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
---------------------------------------------------
•Strong knowledge in the configuration and support of firewalls, IDS and
IPS devices in a multi-vendor environment – experience with Network Access
Control devices a plus.
•Strong knowledge of security best practices, existing network
vulnerabilities and their mitigations.
•Strong knowledge of Microsoft Windows security controls and its
vulnerabilities, Microsoft Active Directory; UNIX and/or Linux a plus.
•Strong knowledge of networking concepts and the TCP/IP protocol suite;
experience with network monitoring tools a plus.
•Excellent communication skills to interact with team members and other IT
and Business partners.
•Ability to work either with direct supervision or with minimal
supervision depending on the assignment or circumstance.
•Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Bachelor's degree in computer science, management information systems, or
related field preferred.
•Six or more years of Information Technology experience with four or more
years in Information Security: preferably with a focus on perimeter security.
•Experience designing and implementing security policies and standards for
a large Enterprise environment.
•CISSP Certification preferred.
