Job Description
Join a fast growing SecurityRecruiter.com client as a Managing Consultant where
you’ll guide their clients in the development of secure software and
secure web application development. The Managing Consultant works with clients
in the application of our client’s process improvement methodologies,
software quality techniques, software process improvement techniques and
software security. The Managing Consultant has responsibility for more than one
customer team, manages small accounts, has significant project management /
engagement management responsibility and also identifies and closes follow-on
work. The Managing Consultant mentors team members and provides technical sales
support. Working with a team, the Managing Consultant will manage a small
client’s needs or manages multiple projects within a larger client. This
role has responsibility over $1-1.5M in revenue and requires a leader who can
run a team of 5-10 people on a client project. When not working a
t the client site, this is a virtual position where work can be done from
home. Residence in New York City or a location commutable to New York City is
required. US Citizenship is required. No visa sponsorship is available for this
role. Travel is possible.
JOB REQUIREMENTS

Job Requirements
Requires a BS in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Math or Software
Engineering. A Masters degree and CISSP certification are preferred along with
certifications in Java and/or .Net to demonstrate subject matter expertise.
Publications (white papers, books, etc.) are preferred. A Managing Consultant
must demonstrate significant SDLC experience (7+ years) developing, deploying
and maintaining software systems where applying security activities within the
SDLC was a normal practice. Must demonstrate experience with software design,
risk analysis, application security architectures and software security. Must
demonstrate experience in a wide number of operational environments where a
variety of technologies such as C++, Java, J2EE, XML, UML, .Net, C#, SOA,
WebServices RDBMS, Websphere, Smartcards and related technologies where
utilized. Must demonstrate 3 years of consulting experience working with
security process improvement and quality assurance related projects. Verb
al skills, written skills and project management skills must be exceptionally
strong. A PMP, Project Management certification is preferred.
