Job Description
SecurityRecruiter.com has been engaged by one of our strongest and fastest
growing clients to identify an Application Security Consultant who will be
responsible for the execution and delivery of our client’s planned project
deliverables and milestones that assist their clients in learning,
understanding and applying secure software development methodologies. In this
role, you will typically have one or more projects under your responsibility
and typically will work with one client at a time. You’ll apply general
business knowledge, technical and general business consulting, project
management and teaching skills in this role. You’ll support marketing
efforts and will be expected to identify follow-on work as well as mentor
employees. It is possible that you may supervise 1-2 people in this role.
Expect to act as a technical lead, to provide software security architecture
and design, to provide secure code analysis and project management in this
position. This

for our client and can be based anywhere in California, Oregon or Washington,
expect travel in the 50-60% range and possibly more. Candidates who are

JOB REQUIREMENTS

This role requires a Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent degree. A
Masters level degree is highly appreciated as is a CISSP or other related
certifications. Required technical skills include: 5+ years experience with C,
C++, JAVA, RDBMS Scripting Languages (PERL, Python, etc.) and multiple
operating systems. Consultant candidates must demonstrate the following:
Ability to develop enterprise class systems using J2EE or .Net programming
environments; Ability to perform structured analysis of business problems and
define a technical architecture that solves those problems; Understanding of
software development methodologies such as waterfall, RUP and agile;
Understanding of Information Security and available tools and technologies;
Ability to interface with clients utilizing consulting and negotiation skills;
Ability to undertake and complete tasks independently, meet schedules and
delivery timelines and to move swiftly from concepts to theory to action;
Ability to provi
de pre-sales / post-sales technical support and to identify follow-on business
opportunities. Consultants must be able to write well in order to prepare
formal documentation, Statements of Work, proposals, white papers and case
studies. A consultant candidate must demonstrate clear and articulate verbal
skills to the extent that they may be called upon to deliver presentations
and/or training materials to all levels of management. This company is growing
