A solid and secure security solution is required to ensure that the systems architecture witch underpins the entire technical solution has the appropriate levels of security which ca be effectively implemented and monitored. The security architecture must be methodically researched and understood to ensure that the right security model is put in place from the outset. This role will be responsible for identifying the security strategy for both the internal security architecture and interfaces to external software applications and hardware to ensure the design of the architecture and data network services meet both current and future security standards. Working with external partners and government agencies, you will ensure that the information security supports a secure, stable, robust, resilient and cost-effective delivery. Responsible for managing the technology information security programme and processes for security delivery including a range of internal and external stakeholders and providing leadership for the supply of the security framework. This role will include forming and managing the security strategy for the partners relationships. Key Responsibilities Develop from the technology master plan the overall security programme and strategy. Develop a Security roadmap and define the standard set of security processes and best practices. Liaise with stakeholders and partners to manage their requirements within the constraints of the architecture requirements. Develop an overarching security architecture that: Has flexibility Maximise the security of the many mission-critical systems Uses tried and trusted technology to minimise the risk Minimise the cost without compromising design. Develop a security solutions for the wide Area and Local Area Networks that supports the capacity and availability demands Be involved in the negotiation and ratification for existing contracts with key established partners. Key Skills, experience and qualifications A broad security background needed Detailed technical awareness of the technologies in use Extensive knowledge of information security technologies and best practices Must have a relevant security qualification (MSc, CISSP, CISM or similar) Must be able to establish highly effective relationships with a large set of very different stakeholders. Able to demonstrate an understanding of general forensic evidence gathering. Proven ability to interpret complex information and provide informed analysis Proven ability to work in collaboration with external service providers and Government Agencies Proven experience of working within real-time and mission critical solutions.
