IT Security Event and Incident Handler 
Salary Range to $65,700 Commensurate with Experience

DoITT oversees the City's existing and emerging technologies and its delivery 
of services to the public, sharpens the alignment of IT resources and 
investments with business strategies and objectives, and leverages the 
purchasing power of the City to reduce costs. DoITT utilizes technology to 
advance accessibility, accountability and transparency of City government to 
its citizens, businesses and visitors.


Job Description: 
- Oversee auditing traffic across the City’s information networks and 
systems and will work with agencies to correct security and configuration 
problems noted;
- Develop a security event management program and perform analysis of log data 
and security violation reports using Mazu Profiler, Netforensics and other 
security information management tools;
- Coordination of alerts sent by our outsourced security operations center;
- Will perform other related tasks as necessary to the operation of the team; 
- The Security Event and Incident handler will perform agency outreach to 
facilitate use of security tools and vulnerability assessment tools such as 
Qualsguard and provides guidance to other agencies related to incident handling.





JOB REQUIREMENTS
---------------------------------------------------
Essential Skills:
- Four years of progressively responsible experience in managing IT systems, 
networks and/or security;
- Experience with network-management, monitoring, or security tools including 
security event management systems;
- Vulnerability scanners is preferred;
- Understanding of TCP/IP and security architecture is required;
- Good written and verbal communication skills;
- Candidate must be capable of preparing effective written reports for 
management.


Requirements:
BA/BS and 2 years of experience in WAN planning, design or related area
AND
You must have at least one of the vendor certifications listed below:
- Certified Info Security Systems Professional (CISSP)
- CompTIA Security+
