Position: Security Engineer
Location: San Antonio, Texas, United States

Position:
Computer Solutions is currently adding a seasoned Sr. Security Engineer to our
team of highly trained professionals. The will be part of a dynamic group that
supports and delivers solutions with real business impact. Solution complexity
varies from SMB clients to Enterprise campuses on the Fortune 500 list.
Solutions require application of industry best practices and combined with
innovative use of technologies to provide superior value.
A lead position that is active in all phases of the solution life cycle for
Cisco security technologies. This individual will establish relationships with
key clients, design workable technology solutions, and provide implementation
and operational support.
Responsibilities:
Work with sales team to identify, gather requirements for solutions, and draft
proposals
Design solutions and plan implementations with Project Manager and Customer.
Translate business needs into technology specifications.
Serve as a technical authority for security related technologies
Configure hardware and software as part of deployments
Conduct vulnerability assessments, determine business risk, and establish
security policies
Assist clients with compliance to various regulations and certifications
Provide technical mentoring and development to other team members.
Stay current with new technologies and innovations and recommend adoption of
new technologies
Maintain certifications relevant to job role and as required by Cisco
partnership requirements.
JOB REQUIREMENTS

Required Skills:
·Qualified candidate must have a minimum 5 years experience focused on
Cisco Security Technologies
·Master-level skills with Cisco firewalls and VPN platforms including
Pix, ASA, and VPN3000.
·Experienced deploying and tuning IPS products including MARS, 4200
sensors, IDSM2, ASA SSM
·Well versed in Cisco Security management applications including ACS,
VMS and CSM
·In depth knowledge of vendor agnostic security architectures,
encryption suites, protocols, and concepts
·Strong written and communication skills including creating conceptual
diagrams in MS Visio.
·At least a Cisco professional level certification with ability and
desire to obtain CCIE.
·Understanding of the solution life cycle from inception to operation.
·Strong technical documentation skills including knowledge of security
policy framework and content
·Demonstrated ability to perform troubleshooting in complex environments.
·In depth knowledge of ports, protocols, and communications at the
network layer
·Basic understanding of WAN technologies including ATM, Frame-relay,
MPLS-IP/VPN, and IPSec tunnels
·Have a history of working unsupervised while achieving required goals
·Must work well in a team environment, be highly motivated, and willing
to learn new skills
