Position: Application Security Engineer
Location: Washington, District of Columbia, United States
Type: Permanent F/T

Handheld Device Data Security Product Company with explosive growth looking for
a strong Crypto Developer with C++ experience/Ansi CThis position calls for a
computer programmer with solid experience in the areas of crypto programming,
full life cycle software development, and working as part of a small
development team. Daily activities will include design, implementation, and
integration efforts.
Essential Functions:
On-site design, development and integration of software
Analyze customer needs and provide software solutions as part of a team focused
on meeting HSPD-12 goals
Analyze, Test, and resolve issues with application software, card management
systems, and hardware security modules
Analyze and adapt electronic workflow system to customer needs
Create documentation to support software development life cycle to include
requirements documents and software design documents
Work within on-site CVS version control software for code integrity
Other duties as assigned.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
---------------------------------------------------
Nine (9) years of software development experience plus a Bachelors Degree in
Computer Science or related field (or four years of additional experience)
Proficiency working with C++/C# a nice to have
Work with CryptoApi, PKCS#11, Cryptographic Architecture, or Cryptographic
Extension a plus
Experience with full software development life cycle
Experience with developing as part of a team, and using version control systems
for code integrity
Ability to communicate effectively with team members and clients both technical
and non-technical
Proven ability to adapt to new technologies and learn skills necessary for
project completion
Mature, self-motivated, adaptable and able to work well in a group environment
Ability to develop and execute detailed written plans for tasks and projects
