Applicants selected will be subject to a government security investigation and 
must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Top 
Secret clearance is required. 

1) Responsible for configuring the SIM software of each DISA SIM Facility. 
Specifically, candidate will configure and provide configuration assistance to 
DISA SIM Facilities so that business logic, naming conventions, categorization, 
prioritization, and correlation rules authoring, report authoring, use case 
authoring, and dashboard authoring support the overall operational requirements 
of the facilities. Candidate will be responsible for documenting the associated 
configurations. 

2) Perform systems administration work on the SIM software and associated 
storage devices deployed at the DISA SIM Facilities. The system administration 
work shall include, at a minimum, the following: ArcSight Manager (or other SIM 
Server, if deployed) and Database Server, and storage system administration, 
generation of configuration management documentation and development of SIM 
data backup strategy recommendations. 

3) Perform SIM software deployment associated with software upgrades, agent 
installation and agent development on new sensor devices, and hierarchical 
integration of the DISA SIM Facilities under the DISA-approved business logic 
specifications, to include ArcSight (or other SIM, if deployed) use-cases, work 
flow implementation, reporting schema, and data import/export schema that 
enables SIM to transmit data to or receive data from other DISA IA data 
repositories. Will also reconfigure SIM components to incorporate new 
functionality specified by DISA; tasks include developing software scripts for 
Linux, Solaris, Windows, ArcSight (or other SIM, if deployed), repartitioning 
or otherwise reconfiguring Storage Area Networks (SANs) or similar devices. 
Tasks also include Oracle database administration and optimization. 

4) Perform troubleshooting of SIM software, host hardware, and associated 
storage devices, deployed at the DISA SIM Facilities. Troubleshooting work 
shall be performed to resolve failures and deficiencies in the following SIM 
components: ArcSight (or other SIM, if deployed) Manager, Oracle Database, 
ArcSight Consoles (or other SIM Consoles, if deployed), and ArcSight Data 
Collectors (or other SIM Collectors, if deployed). 


JOB REQUIREMENTS
---------------------------------------------------
BA or BS degree is preferred. Candidates should have at least 1 year of 
hands-on working experience with ArcSight and should be familiar with 
deploying, installing and administering the product. It is strongly preferred 
that candidates also have experience with customizing ArcSight (i.e. rules) to 
meet the security needs of an organization. Must have technical experience 
working in Linux, Solaris and Windows environments.
