Position: Security Consultant
Location: New York, New York, United States
Type: Permanent F/T
Closing Date: 2008-03-13
Fortify Software is seeking experienced developers to deliver software security
services for Fortify’s enterprise customers. The role will include
installing and customizing Fortify’s application security products,
assisting clients with source code analysis using Fortify SCA, managing runtime
protection using Fortify Defender, and delivering product training. Positions
are available in San Mateo and New York City, Boston or Washington D.C.
JOB REQUIREMENTS

Responsibilities:
• Assess and scope customer requirements for application security needs
• Install and configure Fortify application security products
• Scan customer source code, audit results with development and/or
security teams and offer plans for remediation of vulnerabilities
• Produce source code audit reports for customers
• Deliver product training to customers and partners
• Customize the implementation of Fortify’s production and test
products
• Contribute to the Fortify Knowledge Base and Best Practices
• Interface with Product Management and Engineering to enhance products
• Extensive travel required, as most work is conducted at the customer
site
Job Qualifications:
• 5+ years experience in the area of real world software development and
build environments; Java/J2EE, MS .NET, Unix C/C++
• 5+ years experience in a role of software application or development
tool consulting to enterprise clients
• Experience in the Enterprise Security space, especially application
security is a plus
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Excellent analytical skills
• Ability to succeed in team-based and autonomous environments
• CISSP, CISA, CPP MCP/MCSE and SANS certifications a plus
• Multi-platform experience strongly desired
• Bachelor's Degree required
