Job description:
Field Technician
This Central New Jersey based company, which provides end-to-end, turnkey
solutions for the Defense and Homeland Security markets, seeks a Field
Technician who will provide field integration and deployment support for a
Homeland Security Company.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS
Hands-on involvement in all aspects of field activities including installation,
configuration and troubleshooting.
This individual will support the Integration & Test teams in the field and in
the lab.
This position will require manual labor during installation and configuration
of equipment, both in the field and in a lab environment.
This position will require supervised wiring installation and hook ups.
This position will assist in the troubleshooting and configuration both in the
field and lab.
This position will assist in the execution of software and hardware testing,
both in the field and in the lab.
JOB SPECIFICATIONS
Knowledge:
** HS diploma or equivalent
Experience:
** Must know how to use basic hand tools and electrical troubleshooting
equipment.
Skills / Aptitudes:
** Must be a US Citizen or Permanent Resident
** Must be physically able to lift over 50 lbs
** Must have experience using computers with Microsoft Windows.
** Desired knowledge of basic electronics components
** Desired knowledge of CCTV, VMD and Radar systems.
WORKING CONDITIONS
** May be required to travel domestically or internationally to support
customer activities.
