Job description:
Systems Lab Manager
This Central New Jersey based company, which provides end-to-end, turnkey
solutions for the Defense and Homeland Security markets, seeks a Systems Lab
Manager with a minimum of 5 years experience in the management of systems
integration labs, including testing and simulation facilities and equipment,
including the creation and management of lab systems scheduling and usage
processes and lab tools selection, implementation, and administration, plus lab
maintenance processes and schedules implementation, lab supplies tracking and
ordering, and outsourcing tasks to vendors.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS
** Experience in the administration of lab scheduling and usage management and
reporting tools.
** Experience in system administration in both Windows and Unix environments.
** Experience in creating and implement lab management and maintenance
processes.
** Experience in tracking and maintain lab inventories and management vendors
and outsourcing for lab needs.
** Experience with GSR systems integration labs is a plus.
** Experience with video cameras systems integration labs is a plus.
** Detail oriented with the ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks in
a fast paced environment.
** Ability to work in a fast paced, challenging, and growing environment to
manage multiple labs and facilities and implement quick-turn-around lab
management strategies.
** Ability to work under strict time frames to meet both internal and external
deadlines and customer expectations.
** Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
** Ability to manage own work and balancing between multiple projects.
** Ability to adapt quickly to new processes.
** Strong written and oral communication skills.
** Able and willingness to work extended hours if required.
** Ability to work well within a diversified team.
** Excellent work ethics with a high energy level.
** Proactive and positive mindset.
JOB SPECIFICATIONS
Knowledge:
** Minimum of BS in Computer Science or Engineering, BSEE desired,
** ISO 9001 experience desired
Experience:
** Minimum 5 years experience in the management of integrated systems labs, and
testing and simulation facilities.
** DOD background is highly desirable
** Experience with DHS is a plus
Skills / Aptitudes:
** Must be a US Citizen or Permanent Resident
WORKING CONDITIONS
** May be required to travel domestically or internationally to support
customer activities.
