Job description:
Systems Configuration Engineer
Systems Configuration Engineer with a minimum of 3 years experience engineering
and collectively managing systems integration features, configuration changes
and setup parameters (including system-wide parameters), and the configuration,
installation and setup documentation for large complex integrated systems.
This candidate has experience in Software Configuration Management SCM,
Hardware Configuration Management HCM, Firmware Management, and configuration
documentation and processes engineering and management, including large complex
integrated systems backups, rollbacks, and crash recovery. Has worked closely,
and collaborated, with Systems Engineering, Software Development, and
Documentation to ensure configuration processes and documentation of complex
integrated systems, systems testing and simulation facilities, both on-site and
at customer facilities are concurrent.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS
** Experience with GSR systems integration.
** Experience with video cameras systems integration.
** Hands-on hardware configuration, setup, and integration.
** Knowledge in network topologies, configuration, and integration.
** Experience with systems integration end-to-end, including system-wide
parameters setup, installation, backups, rollbacks, and recovery.
** Proficient in system administration tasks in both Windows and Unix
environments.
** Detail oriented with the ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks in
a fast paced environment.
** Ability to work in a fast paced, challenging, and growing environment and
implement quick-turn-around system configuration strategies.
** Ability to work under strict time frames to meet both internal and external
deadlines and customer expectations.
** Experience with Source Code Management is a plus.
** Experience in tracking and documenting systems lifecycles.
** Experience in evaluating and approving system configuration changes, and
interrelationships amongst system components.
** Experience in creating SCM and HCM BOMs.
** Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
** Ability to manage own work and balancing between multiple projects.
** Ability to adapt quickly to new processes.
** Strong written and oral communication skills.
** Able and willingness to work extended hours if required.
** Ability to lead large complex systems configuration tasks by example and
work well within a diversified team.
** Excellent work ethics with a high energy level.
** Proactive and positive mindset.
JOB SPECIFICATIONS
Knowledge:
** BSEE required, MSEE is a plus
** IEEE 1042, ISO 9001, and ISO 10007 desired
Experience:
** Minimum 3 years experience in systems configuration management engineering
for large integrated systems
** DOD background is highly desirable
** Experience with DHS is a plus
Skills / Aptitudes:
** Must be a US Citizen or Permanent Resident

customer activities.
