Position: Security Engineer
Location: Kansas City, Missouri, United States
Type: Permanent P/T
Closing Date: 2008-03-16
The Information Security Specialist will have responsibility for oversight and
day to day administration of the company’s information security program.
An adjunct function would include management of the physical security access
and monitoring systems. This includes establishing information security
policies, standards, coordination with application, systems and network
personnel to ensure physical, network and application security. The successful
candidate must have a passion for technology, excellent communication skills,
and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
* Obtain input from business, compliance and other groups to design and
develop the strategic direction for the Information Protection Program
* Establish and maintain the enterprise information security strategy
* Provides subject matter expertise in working with the other IT personnel on
application security, vulnerability management, access and identity management,
incident management and forensics
* Participate in strategic planning, tactical operation planning, and the
development of contingency operation plans
* Participate in information security architecture, information security
planning and information security programs
* Establishes key information security reporting metrics
JOB REQUIREMENTS

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
* Significant experience and knowledge in complex IT system design,
implementation and support.
* Applied knowledge of complex IT solutions to include applications,
middleware, and all infrastructure components (servers, storage, network,
database)
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
* BA or BS Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or equivalent
experience
* 5+ years of experience in IT/Corporate Security/Information Security
management
* Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) or Certified
Information Security Manager (CISM) a plus
* Knowledge and experience working in Banking or other areas of Finance
