Position: Security Engineer
Location: Seattle, Washington, United States
Type: Permanent P/T
Closing Date: 2008-03-14
Sr. Unix Security Engineer to ensure network (LAN/WAN, telecommunications, and
voice) security and to protect against unauthorized access, modification, or
destruction. You will be responsible for implementing and administering
security controls, policies and procedures to ensure compliance with security
policies; assist in evaluating IT project controls and document findings; and
participate in special projects in support of IT initiatives. You will also be
the back-up Unix/Linux administrator; manage the procurement, implementation
and maintenance of Information Security program and provide Unix/Linux
Administration support for Enterprise systems.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
---------------------------------------------------
Three years of practical experience as an IT Security Engineer. The experience
should include work with SOX Light IT Controls.
Experience managing enterprise-wide projects that interact with all levels of
business.
8 years experience as a practitioner on technologies like Unix, Linux, Windows
AD, Oracle, Firewalls, IDS, and VPN; including 3+ years experience planning,
implementing , and supporting Unix and Linux servers in support of Enterprise
applications.
Two years of experience with digital forensics investigations a plus.
BS Degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
Ability to work with Applications Development, Advanced Support, and Project
Leads to ensure systems adhere to prudent security practices.
