Position: Sr. Security Engineer
Location: Stamford, Connecticut, United States
Type: Permanent F/T
Closing Date: 2008-03-16
Our client, a rapidly growing dynamic leader in enterprise data security is
seeking a Solutions Architect. This position works with sales and the prospects
to understand the prospect’s systems, their business issues and unique
problems. This position must be able to gain the customer’s confidence to
such a degree that the prospect’s sees you as the security expert(guru.
You will be expected to construct a complete solutions (products and services)
working with the sales, services, product management and R&D teams and then
helping to sell it to the customer. This position is expected to follow-up and
monitor any other deal participant’s work, outside of Sales. After the
sale working and guiding the implementation engineers to make sure that the
solution is implemented correctly and the customer is delighted.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
---------------------------------------------------
• At least 5 years of pre-sales experience in commercial software
• Exceptionally strong presenter and persuader
• Strong problem solving and analytical skills
• Well-developed interpersonal skills with an ability to get along with
diverse personalities
• Ability to travel (approx. 50%)
Preferred Qualifications:
• Previous selling or pre-sales experience of security solutions
• Previous selling or pre-sales experience of database solutions
• Experience with PCI, HIPAA, Sarbanes-Oxley and/or California 1386.
• CISSP certification.
• Database experience (Oracle, SQL, DB2)
