Immediate opportunity for a Security Network Engineer with top-tier employer in
Long Island, NY
The Network Engineer provides the appropriate managerial and technical
expertise to support security objects in various aspects of the company’s
7 day, 24-hour international data center operating environment.
The position of the Network Security Engineer has responsibility for all
Security related servers, appliances and Internet functions within our
computing environment. This includes vendor interface, configuration,
installation planning and implementation as well as second level client support
for problems that have been escalated from the help desk.
Responsibilities:
The Network Security Engineer has oversight and coordination responsibilities
for all software and hardware infrastructure installations related to the
network security of all locations and assets. This includes but is not limited
to Firewalls, IPSEC VPNs, Proxy servers, SecurID Servers on Windows, Linux and
Unix based platforms.
The Engineer will also be responsible for maintaining SQL database to produce
reports for HR Risk Mitigation legal dept and upper management. These reports
will be for but not limited to compliance regulations end user access and other
reports as required.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Required Skills:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
RSA SecurID authentication.
Installation of ACE servers and clients.
Support of replicas.
Version upgrade.
Cisco security devices (ASA, PIX, VPN, Security+)
Microsoft ISA proxy server installation and troubleshooting.
Websense URL filtering
Installation and upgrade of Websense policy servers, EIMs and agents on
Microsoft ISA proxy servers.
Websense reports for management.
Checkpoint and Cisco Firewalls.
MSA Celestix proxy servers.
Linux and Unix operating systems
Candidate must be comfortable with vi, grep and other command line tools.
Windows XP, 2000, and 2003 operating systems
Familiarity with ipconfig, route and other command line tools.
Nortel Contivity IPSEC and SSL VPN
Client and server support.
Network troubleshooting (subnetting, basic routing concepts, familiarity with
packet capture software).
Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Visio, Project).
Project and budget planning and management.
Global rollouts with no aversion to round the clock support.
A strong documentation habit.
FTP, DNS and the command line tools (nslookup, traceroute, netstat).
Datacenter Support Equipment (KVM, installing/rack mounting equipment).
Dell, HP, Compaq and Nokia Hardware
