If you’re willing to put your considerable success and experience in selling IT security solutions (software and/or appliances) here you could help yourself and my client build a major security player in the East Coast. This is a major reseller with nearly a $B in sales and 20+ years of profitable growth and they are entering this space with one of their partners and it’s lucrative at best. To get my - and my client’s – attention you’ll bring to the table a background of successful deals that you prospected, developed and closed in the security space. Along with that you’ll be a solid player who knows how to successfully work from a virtual office and keep yourself motivated. The comp plan can flex for superstars but the average salary range is from $70K to $85K+ (perhaps even a combo package including some additional draw for cashflow if needed) and an OTE of $200K+. JOB REQUIREMENTS --------------------------------------------------- While part of the role will be an overlay with the substantial number of reps in place in the company’s three regions that you’ll be covering you’ll also be expected to continue hunting for deals that you can bring to the table yourself. The reps have a full plate so depending on them for mindshare could be a prescription for failure and the person we want in this role doesn’t wait for things to happen – they make things happen. This is a large turf – Maine to Florida – essentially the Northeast, Mid-Atlantic and the Southeast… so travel WILL be a part of the role. If you’ve already had experience selling in a reseller model you’ll understand the value of working off of a solid GP percentage. If not, we can explain to you how it has helped many of their reps earn 200K – 300K and more. Bottom line skills and background needed: • 5+ years of successful OUTSIDE/DIRECT IT security sales • Strong knowledge of IT security technology • Established customer relationships are strongly preferred – with senior level contacts • BA/BS or equivalent experience preferred Knowledge, skills and other stuff: • Hunter mentality with ability to take the sale from phone call to closed deal successfully • Ability to build and maintain client relationships • Well organized with attention to detail • Excellent written and verbal communication skills • Excellent interpersonal, presentation and public speaking skills • Demonstrated analytical, quantitative, problem solving skills • Ability to work extended hours, faster than a speeding bullet and able to leap tall buildings (2 bounds OK) • Able to travel as needed CONTACT --------------------------------------------------- If this is of interest to you please let me know by sending your resume which I’ll review and respond to ASAP.
