Job Description
SecurityRecruiter.com continues to partner with the security product
industry’s most compelling companies. This company is run by one of the
former founders of one of the industry’s most prominent security software
companies. He and his team have an exemplary track record of successfully
building start-up and early-stage security product vendor companies. Our
client’s products provide application security and database security as
well as providing compliance and audit support. Most of their competitors
provide either application security or database security but not both. This
professional services role exists because the company is doubling its 2006
revenue in 2007 and is selling enough product to justify adding a new
professional services consultant to provide post-sale support. Responsibilities
include: on-site, post-sales installation, deployment and basic education
services; Providing customers with progress reports and other project
documentation; Trouble
shooting technical issues with the help of the Support team. You’ll want
to join this company if you are looking for a cutting-edge security software
company that is steadily growing, making money and is lead by highly successful
industry veterans. Expect to travel 75% or more to provide proper customer
support.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
---------------------------------------------------
This role requires a BA/BS with a strong preference for a degree in Computer
Science or related field. Willingness to travel both domestic and overseas is a
must. You must demonstrate characteristics of an independent self-starter who
has great depth and breadth of technical skill and is highly customer service
driven. You must demonstrate deep knowledge of Networking (TCP/IP, HTTP, Load
Balancers, Proxies, Firewalls, etc.), deep knowledge of Databases (MS-SQL,
Oracle, Sybase, DB2, etc.) and deep knowledge of operating systems (UNIX,
Linux, Windows). You must have experience with the installation, configuration
and maintenance of web servers such as IIS, Apache and Tomcat. Experience
working in application programming and/or as a database administrator is of
particular interest. A CISSP and/or vendor specific certifications such as an
Oracle Certified Professional, MCSE, CCNA, etc. are strongly preferred.
