Position: Manager, Information Security
Location: Foster City, California, United States

My client is fast growing and highly regarded security product vendor committed
to protecting data in both enterprise applications and database environments.
The executive management team has a track record of founding, growing and
leading some of the most recognized security solutions firms in the industry.
This is a "mid-stage" startup with a solid product suite and impressive
customers but it's early enough in the company's history that new employees
will still benefit greatly from the company's continued success.
As the Manager of Product Support for North America, this person is responsible
for:
• Building and managing the current North America support team.
• Troubleshooting customer issues and working with other departments
(e.g. Engineering, QA) to resolve them.
• Being a focal point for technical issues and making sound decisions
quickly.
• Understanding and documenting the customer's requirements, managing
expectations, and providing excellent customer service.
• Providing technical presentations to customers and sales teams when
necessary.
• Working with sales engineers to help support sales related technical
issues.
• Analyzing customer feature requests and interfacing with the product
management team.
• Assessing the customer's technical environment, planning installations
and design configurations.
JOB REQUIREMENTS

Qualifications:
• 5-7 years of experience in software development/QA of Network\Security
products.
• Minimum of 3 years management experience
• Deep knowledge of TCP/IP, HTTP, Load balancers, proxies and firewalls.
• Deep knowledge of operating systems such as Linux/Windows
• Experience in installation, configuration and maintenance of Web
servers such as IIS, Apache and Tomcat.
• Deep Knowledge of HTML, JavaScript, VBScript, ASP, JSP and XML.
• Deep knowledge of Databases preferably MS-SQL, Oracle, Sybase, DB2
• Excellent analytical and problem solving skills with a strong sense of
customer commitment.
• Assertive and efficient at completing tasks.
• Comfortable in a fast-paced/startup environment
• Excellent communication (written and verbal/) and interpersonal skills.
• Experience working with engineering, R&D, sales and marketing
departments.
• BS degree in Computer Science or related field.
• Willingness to travel both domestic and overseas.
• Experience with working with an overseas R&D team (advantage)
