Job Description

industry’s most compelling companies. This company is run by one of the
former founders of one of the industry’s most prominent security software
companies. He and his team have an exemplary track record of successfully
building start-up and early-stage security product vendor companies. Our
client’s products provide application security and database security as
well as providing compliance and audit support. Most of their competitors
provide either application security or database security but not both. Our
client’s solutions provide full visibility into all data access, enhancing
operational efficiency and granular control and maintenance of critical data.
As the Manager of Product Support for North America, this role is responsible
for: Building and managing the North America Support Team; Troubleshooting
customer issues and working with other departments such as engineering to
resolve
issues; Being a focus point for technical issues; Understanding and
documenting the customer’s requirements, managing expectations and
providing outstanding customer service; Providing technical presentations to
customers and sales teams; Working with sales engineers to help drive sales
from a technical point of view; Analyzing customer feature requests and
forwarding them to the product management team; Assessing the customer’s
technical environment and planning installations and configurations.
JOB REQUIREMENTS

Requires 5-7 years experience in Software Development / Quality Assurance of
Network Security products combined with a minimum of 3 years of management
experience. Required technical skills include: deep knowledge of TCP/IP, HTTP,
Load Balancers, Proxies, Firewalls, Linux / Windows, etc. Must demonstrate
installation and configuration experience with Web Servers such as IIS, Apache
and Tomcat. Must demonstrate deep knowledge of HTML, JavaScript, VBScript, ASP,
JSP, XML, MS-SQL, Oracle, Sybase and/or DB2. While this is a technical people
management role, it is also a customer-facing role. Must demonstrate excellent
analytical and problem solving skills with a strong sense of customer
commitment while working in a fast-paced environment. Since you’ll be
interfacing closely with customers and will be managing a staff of your own,
you must demonstrate outstanding verbal and written skills along with strong
interpersonal skills. Prior experience working with Engineering, R&D,
Product Development, Sales and Marketing departments is a strong plus. A
BA/BS degree is expected and education at the Masters level is preferred.
Occasional travel is required and could be Domestic or International in nature.
Prior experience working with an overseas R&D team is a plus.
