Solution Architect/Customer Service Engineer
Our client, an established provider of Network Security solutions, is seeking a
Solution Architect/Customer Service Engineer located in Northern Virginia to
service its Northeast Corridor accounts and resellers.

The Customer Service Engineer provides customer support and professional
services on our client's Network Security solution for institutional,
enterprise and government markets. This is a challenging opportunity for a
highly motivated customer-centric individual to work in a multi-tiered support
team. Must be able to travel up to 50%.
JOB REQUIREMENTS

Responsibilities
The Customer Service Engineer’s responsibilities will include the
following:
* Troubleshoot customer issues both over the phone and in person
* Ability to prioritize customer needs and respond appropriately
* Deliver and validate solutions to customer requests and issues
* Product installation, configuration and implementation at customer
location(s)
* Collaborate with Engineering and champion the customer needs for product
enhancements and issue resolution
* Sales and Reseller post sales support
* Integration testing
* Quality Assurance testing
Qualifications
* Self-motivated with a proven track record in technical customer service
and support
* Ability to present technical information to both technical /
non-technical audience
* Strong technical and analytical skills
Experience
* Minimum of 2 years customer service/support in networking specifically
switching and routing, operating systems Unix/Linux and Windows, and network
services .
* Troubleshooting skills are a must
* Strong written and verbal communication skills
* BS degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer
Information Systems or other applicable discipline or equivalent experience

IDS, Firewalls, Proxy Servers
Networking
Background in Cisco Network Management a Plus
NAC
Knowledge of Firm’s Products, or competing products (AEP,
Bradford, Check point, Consentry, FireEye, Lockdown, Mirage, Mocana,,
Netclarity, Nevis Networks, SkyRecon, Trustifier) a plus.
Customer Facing:
Ability to interface professionally with commercial and government clients.
Ability to interact with clients and Firm’s support staff and react to
issue on site.
Ability to provide knowledge transfer to clients and share information about
the product.
Ability to document solutions provided while on site and write concise trip
reports.
Security:
Prior experience with Infosec Technology vendor, reslller, Systems
integrator, consultancy, MSSP or corporate IT security highly desireable.
Security Certifications highly desireable. CISSP, SANS, etc.
Duties:
Design Solutions based on the following
Clients business, regulatory and security requirements
Clients’ environment – taking into account
The number and types of devices
The expected data volumes from each device type
Ensure Successful Engagements/Implementations
Provide engagement manager information to scope the size of engagements
Provide information to engagement manager to develop statements of work
Work with technical support and engineering on issues during engagement
Work with assigned resources to ensure design in understood
Travel on site as necessary with staff to ensure successful implementation
Develop/Continually Improve methodology and processes
Continually update best practices based on experiences on engagements
Continually build library of reusable solutions for use on future
engagements
Provide product feedback and solutions for inclusion in future product
releases
Engagement Deliverables
Ensure complete design and implementation documentation
Ensure field developed scripts and programs are returned to Firm engineering
for future inclusion in the product.
Mentor other consultants
Develop staff and sub-contractors to duplicate yourself as a Senior
Consultant
Provide knowledge transfer on best practices and methodology
Implement Solutions
Implement pre or post sales solutions either as a team lead or alone on
engagements or where other resources are unavailable or not specifically
skilled to meet the implementation requirements.
Other Duties
May be assigned other duties not listed above
Travel
50-60% primarily in Northeastern region.
