Do you have a passion for all things Linux? Are you a whiz at identifying and
mitigating potential security vulnerabilities of Redhat and Linux? Do you
thrive and excel in building kernel modules? Are you always looking for ways
to implement the latest Linux technologies and releases? If so, this is the
position for you.
Our client is looking for a Linux Software Engineer to maintain kernel and
build new modules over the life-cycle of their flagship software product.
THE OPPORTUNITY
This is an excellent opportunity to work for an industry leader with a proven
international track-record in software development. The client has a team of
highly talented software engineers using "bleeding edge" technologies. In this
critical role, you will ensure that various kernel modules are in place to
support the company's development efforts. You will update core OS RPMs and
third-party RPMs. You will ensure that neither the company nor its software
products are vulnerable to any Linux-related threats. As well, you will play a
key role in identifying other Linux OS's for future releases.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

The ideal candidate is an emerging Linux guru with several years' development
experience as a software engineer in a Linux kernel environment. Experience
with scripting languages (such as perl and shell) and with development
languages like C/C++, advanced knowledge of RP
