THE COMPANY
Our client is recognized as a leading security software company with sales
internationally and a strong and seasoned management team. They have also been
recognized with several prestigious network security awards.
THE OPPORTUNITY
In this key role for the organization, you will provide hands-on technical
leadership to establish the technical direction for current and next generation
product development. You will coordinate the process of bringing new software
products to market. This will include being very involved in determining future
directions for the company's product offerings and determining the technology
and assets required to meet those development goals; coordinating the efforts
of the development team; and establishing milestones and tracking and
monitoring progress. You will have the responsibility for ensuring consistent,
on time product delivery by implementing best practice programming standards
and processes.

JOB REQUIREMENTS
---------------------------------------------------
Our ideal candidate will have a degree in Computer Science or a related field
and a proven track record of managing software development teams to bring
products and new releases to market on time and on budget. A strong knowledge
of languages such as java and C/C++ as well as software development best
practices and processes is a must. Strong skills in creating detailed technical
design from system architecture down to code level design through to completed
tested software are essential in your ability to help facilitate
decision-making within the project team. Strong people and leadership skills
are also a must (i.e. mentoring, team building, career development,
communication skills). Proven management skills in an enterprise Linux/Unix
environment are necessary and experience with networking and/or software
security is strongly preferred.
