JOB REQUIREMENTS

Pre-Sales Engineer--Philadelphia, PA
Our client, an established provider of Network Security solutions, is seeking a
Pre-Sales Engineer.
This position will be the primary technical sales support resource in the
Midlantic Region, preferably based in the Philadelphia, PA metro region.
Candidates from NJ, DE are encouraged to apply.
Job includes conveying the technical features of our product set in terms that
can be translated into benefits by prospects and customers. Previous experience
working directly for a Network Security Company a plus. The position will drive
marketing and R&D to develop critical features and participate in the release
and design review meetings. Position will expect travel within the Eastern US
region. Minimum Requirements:
3+ years experience as a security engineer and 2 years in a pre-sales role.
The ideal candidate will have:
*Understanding of Network Access Control or Intrusion Prevention or similar
network security technology.
*Successful product demonstration experience in a pre-sales
environment.
*Experience installing and supporting multiple network hardware
* Strong understanding of Routing, Switching, 802.1Q VLAN, VPN, LAN, WAN,
RADIUS and Network Security.
* Experience installing, managing and supporting real-world network and
computer security systems.
* Proficiency in quickly evaluating key attributes of example network
infrastructures and ability to articulate how these attributes would
interact with the application of specific kinds of security products
including firewalls, intrusion detection systems, forensic analysis systems,
and anti-virus software.
Additional preferred skills/abilities include:
Security certification such as CISSP, SSCP or GIAC.
