Position: Technical Support Engineer
Location: St. Louis, Missouri, United States
Type: Permanent F/T
Closing Date: 2008-02-11
Responsible for planning, design, configuration, testing, installation, and
management of all WANs and related services within the enterprise to meet
business requirements. Responsibilities include fourth level escalation in the
identification and resolution of hardware and software technical problems and
malfunctions related to the LAN/WAN component decisions that are critical in
the areas of problem solving and infrastructure planning. Ensures a stable
performance environment for all WAN components
JOB REQUIREMENTS
---------------------------------------------------
Minimum of seven years experience in the operation/design of communications
networks with a strong emphasis on Cisco technologies. Extensive experience
with MPLS and Virtual Private Networks utilizing IPSec technology. Proven
engineering-level experience with LAN protocols including, but not limited to:
IP, DHCP, DNS, EIGRP, BGP. Experience with design and operational aspects of
telecommunications technologies including ISDN, T1, T3 circuits. Strong
experience with frame relay, MPLS and IPSec VPN technologies. Previous design
experience with Public-Key Infrastructure (PKI) desirable.
BA/BS in Information Systems or related area required. Equivalent education
and/or ten or more years experience in network engineering in a Cisco
environment. Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert (CCIE) certification.
