Position: Principal Software Engineer
Location: Pune, Maharashtra, India
Type: Permanent F/T

Manager Development -
• Ensure the effective and timely releases of STG (Security Technology
Group) products
• Manage development team from requirement analysis to release –
planning, requirement analysis, functional specifications, design documents,
approaches;
• Create detailed development plans, prioritizes work assignments and
assigns projects based on available resources
• Set clear objectives for direct reports and compares deliverables
against objectives.
• Manage day-to-day decisions of project teams, including bug priorities,
work assignments and work sequencing
• Responsible for managing the design, development and implementation of
complete software components
• Anticipates problems and future technical needs and takes necessary
corrective steps to ensure they are addressed
• Is looked upon to offer direction, guidance and mentoring to lesser
skilled individuals on the team
• Manage the design, develop and maintain high-quality code for highly
complex products
• Has the ability to work on, prioritize and manage multiple products
• Propose, define, setup, and standardize the coding and design
standards, strategies and code review standards that are comprehensive, easy to
implement, and effective.
• Define requirements along with Program Management teams during regular
releases
• Interact with QA teams to ensure the overall quality of the product
• Ensure strict adherence to Symantec guidelines and quality control
procedures
JOB REQUIREMENTS

8-11 years in the IT Industry
Minimum 2 years of Project Management Experience including Project Planning and
execution of multi-platform software development.
Bachelors / Master’s of Engineering in Computer Science (preferred) or
other engineering streams.
Must Have - Knowledge of Windows System Level Programming. The candidate must
be proficient in C and C++ programming.
Good to Have - Knowledge of Security Technologies like AntiVirus , IDS/IPS,
etc. is an advantage, Experience of people management, working with and
reporting to globally distributed teams are a plus.
