Position: Penetration Engineer
Location: Arlington, Virginia, United States
Type: Permanent F/T

COMSEC Engineer (326)
Applicants selected will be subject to a government security investigation and
must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Top
Secret clearance required with SCI eligibility.
• Ensure compliance with federal directives and executive orders
• Understand and comply with the Federal COMSEC Custodian governance
• Provide technical guidance and assistance to the customer's
administration on an as needed basis
• Technology used includes: TACLANE, KIV 7’s, STE’s, Secure
Cellphones, and DIAS
• Ensure DHS encryption policy is implemented and enforced
• Provide possible 7X24 hour support for upload of key material at
multiple TSA and DHS locations – maybe on an on call schedule
• Be able to provide emergency support in elevated threat levels for
COMSEC services
• Assist in the development, implementation and communication of the
COMSEC program
• Provide Guidance on controlling, maintaining and securing COMSEC
equipment
• Solve customer problems/concerns for IT physical, systems and personnel
security issues as they relate to COMSEC
• Perform security reviews
JOB REQUIREMENTS

Provide COMSEC technical and administrative support for COMSEC accounts across
the TSA. Responsible for providing in depth technical knowledge and maintenance
of the COMSEC hardware and the procedures for maintaining the accounts. Must
possess a COMSEC background and EKMS experience. Should possess experience with
TACLANE, KIV 7’s, STE’s, Secure Cellphones, and DIAS. Requires 3
years of security experience with a BS degree. If candidate does not possess a
degree then he/she must possess 4 years of experience.
